Copy content
Navigate: Content > open content > Copy
Copy content creates a new content item from an existing one.
Assignments are not copied. Events are copied as inactive, so they can be reviewed before they are used.

New content information
The copy form contains:
- Name – the name for the new copied content.
- Permission labels – The fallback content to display on prerenderingthat control administrative access to the copied content.
Content structure
Content structure shows the original content tree and the items that can be copied.
The table shows columns Copy?, Name, and Type. It can include the main content item, modules, events, and uploaded content packages or materials.
You can exclude items that should not be included in the copied content. A child item cannot be copied if its parent item is not copied.
Copied content
After copying, the new content item opens in the content management view.
Review the copied content before using it with learners, especially assignments, inactive events, uploaded packages, and any content-specific settings.
