Use this tab for settings that change how a content item behaves after it has been created. The available options can depend on content type.

In this section

  • Certificates of completion – configure certificate text, template, download, and email behavior.
  • Expiration – define completion expiry and content archive dates.
  • Quiz and feedback form – connect pre-quizzes, post-quizzes, and post-completion feedback forms.
  • Event enrollment confirmation – configure event enrollment confirmation text and event-detail handling.
  • Cost – record cost per trainee.
  • Assignment notifications – control mandatory assignment notifications.
  • Feedback notifications – configure external commenting and rating links.
  • Miscellaneous – configure direct links, archive/delete behavior, approvals, manual completions, commenting, visitor safety training fields, outside-LMS content, video/PDF completion, and integrations.

Certificates of completion

Certificate settings control what learners can receive after completing the

The Preview action opens a certificate preview for the current content.

Optional text shown on the certificate under Training Description.

Certificate template

The certificate template used for generated certificates. New certificate templates are handled by Datafisher support.

Disable certificate download

Disables learner certificate download after completion.

Show start and end time on certificate

Shows the learner's start and completion time on the certificate under Training Duration. See

On completion send certificate to user by email

Sends the PDF certificate to the learner by email after completion.

On completion send certificate to user by SMS

SMS certificate delivery is off by default. When it is enabled, single content can send the certificate to the learner by SMS after completion.

Expiration

Expiration settings define when completions stop being valid and when content should be archived.

Completions expire in days

The number of days after completion when the learner's completion expires.

Completions expire on date

The fixed date when all completions for this content expire.

Notify users about expiring completions before days

How many days before expiry learners are notified about the upcoming expiration.

Maximum validity period days

For base renewal content, the maximum number of days a base completion stays valid before the learner must redo the base training.

Consider as expiring before expiration days

How many days before the expiration date a completion is treated as expiring in reporting and status views.

Content expires at date

The date when the content is automatically archived.

Upon expiration completions become "Inactive" instead of "Expired"

Changes the status label used after expiration from Expired to Inactive.

Use Manage completion expirations when existing completion sessions need their expiration dates updated.

Quiz and feedback form

Pre-quizzes and post-quizzes can be selected from existing quizzes.

Pre-quiz

Requires the learner to complete a quiz before starting the content.

Post-quiz

Adds a quiz after content completion. Whether the quiz is optional or required depends on the post-quiz type.

Post-quiz type

The post-quiz type controls completion behavior:

  • Taking the quiz is optional – completion does not require the quiz.
  • Taking the quiz is mandatory, but passing is not required – the learner must take the quiz, but failure does not fail the completion.
  • Taking the quiz is mandatory, failed quiz means failed completion – the learner must pass the quiz for a successful completion.

Feedback form

Uses the selected feedback quiz as a post-completion feedback form.

Pre-quiz and post-quiz results are available in quiz results and in user profile training activity session details.

Event enrollment confirmation

These settings are available for event content.

Event and waiting list enrollment confirmation message

Adds text to event enrollment confirmation emails, including waiting list emails. The message can be overridden for a specific event.

Additional information is provided outside the LMS

Removes the notice that private event details are available on the LMS event page and in enrollment confirmation emails. Use this when participant details are handled outside the LMS.

Cost

Cost per trainee

The cost generated per trainee. This information is visible to learners in the

Assignment notifications

Notify users about mandatory assignments

Controls whether users are notified about mandatory assignments for this content.

The Notify assigned action sends assignment notifications to assigned users when the administrator has permission to send course notifications.

Feedback notifications

Feedback notification settings are used when feedback is collected through an external commenting or rating page.

The external page where learners are asked to comment on or rate the training after completion.

Send a reminder for commenting and rating 3 days after completion

Sends a reminder to comment and rate the training three days after completion.

For event content, sends the commenting and rating link to everyone enrolled, not only to learners marked as successfully completed.

Miscellaneous

Miscellaneous settings control access, lifecycle, approvals, manual completions, commenting, visitor safety training fields, outside-LMS content, completion thresholds, and integrations.

Allows any logged-in learner with the content link to access the course, even when the learner is not specifically

to it. Avoid this for sensitive content.

Allow anonymous access

Anonymous access is off by default. When it is enabled, Allow anonymous access makes single content available through a special anonymous link without learner login or progress tracking.

Archive content

Archives content that is no longer needed. Archived content is hidden from learners and hidden by default in the admin panel.

Delete content

Permanently deletes obsolete content. Use archiving instead when the content may still be needed for history or audit purposes.

Starting requires manager pre-approval

Requires learners to request manager approval before they can start the course or enroll in the course's events.

Completion requires manager approval

Requires each completion to be reviewed and approved by the learner's

Managers can add manual completions

Allows managers to add manual completions for their team members from Manager View.

Notify content owner about changes in enrollments

For event content, notifies the content owner about enrollment changes.

This course is taken outside the LMS

Hides the learner Start course action in the user portal. Use this when the LMS stores the course record and audit trail, but the actual training happens outside the LMS.

Disable commenting

Prevents learners from adding comments to the course and hides existing comments.

Visitor locations

For visitor safety training, selects the locations where this content is used.

Visitor types

For visitor safety training, selects the visitor types that use this content.

Rego skill ID

The Rego integration is off by default. When it is enabled, Rego skill ID maps the LMS content item to the corresponding Rego skill.

Video and PDF completion threshold percent

For video or PDF content, defines how much of the file the learner must view before the content counts as
